Here it is, my first Stuttgart post. I’m so happy to be here and I’m terrified at the same time. Change hurts. It’s hard starting over somewhere new and having to find your place. But slowly things fell into its place and I can honestly say now that I’m enjoying it and I’m happy to be here.
So for the next five months I’ll be studying and living in Germany. A close friend of mine is here as well and I’m so grateful I get to experience this with her, and all the other lovely people I met here already. There’s a lot to explore here and the first weekend we obviously went out with our camera and shot some photos. I sure won’t be bored.
For the next months I’d love to write about my experiences regularly and share all the spots we visit. The pictures in this post were shot in front of the Operhaus.
The weather here is going a little crazy, the first weekend was extremely hot and right today I had to turn on the heating. So.. But I can’t wait for all the autumn colours. Because those images may be unoriginal for people from Stuttgart but for me they’re totally new.. A year ago I could never imagine I’d be here. A year from now I also have no idea where I’ll be, and I finally started to appreciate that. Life really happens in this very second and only this second. With the emotional rollercoaster I was on this year, it’s still tough to go through certain seconds but it is so worth it. I wouldn’t wanted to have missed this for anything in the world. If you ever have the opportunity to this something like this, do it. Even if it scares you. Even if it scares you, because it will, do it anyway. Never underestimate the power of new cities and new beginnings.
The first weekend we spent here, we went to the Staatsgalerie. It’s free for students and I would highly recommend it!
We also payed a visit to the Mercedes-Benz Museum, which is totally worth is too.
